An easy read for kids and really cute. I take a few dog books to the library with me when I take my therapy dog in for "Read to a Dog" programs. The kids always want dog books to read to the dogs and sometimes the library doesn't have enough. So I have my own little library for them to choose from. This book is appropriate for many ages, includes a little lesson, has a happy ending, has lots of great photos, and is just the right length for a short read. This is such a fun little children's book with full color photos of dogs. I wasn't expecting an actual story with a message, but color me surprised. The message is really super relevant for children (and adults). It teaches us that sometimes people close to us change and we grow apart, but that doesn't mean that there is something wrong and we don't need to be sad about it. It ends with a very positive spin. I'm hoping there are going to be more of these Chou Chou books!
A cute book. Awesome pictures. A good story to help kids learn that even though some days their friends may not seem interested in them, that doesn't mean they stop being friends.

A cute and unusual approach to explaining how sometimes things don’t stay the same and our friends just don’t want to play. It’s a story and yet, it’s not a story. More like an important message that’s relayed that the child or reader can think over. I like the messages it sends to children. The photos are really cute and there’s a link to a short video (under 2 minutes) that I believe children will enjoy. (I enjoyed it!) This makes the book experience more interactive for children and for the reader as well.
The photos are simple but charming, and the eye is drawn to Chou Chou as she struggles to understand why her friend just isn’t acting the same. I highly recommend this lovely book as a neat change from the traditional story book. I am betting the pictures and the messages would captivate young listeners and readers alike!!!

This is a darling book for pet owners and children. I think all will enjoy!
This book has a charming message for all ages, and the story is told in easy-to-read, simple language that early readers can take pride in reading alone...or to a friend. Any child who loves dogs, or dreams of having a dog, will especially love the photos and the storyline. However, it's a heartwarming story of universal appeal so I highly recommend it to all.
